Source: http:/ (PRWEB) March 10, 2006 -- The Feminine FaceLift was developed by plastic surgeon Dr Victoria Vitale- Lewis to give patients not only a younger look, but to restore the feminine characteristics they had when they were younger. A comparison of a 30-year-old photo with photos taken before and after the procedure illustrates the dramatic restoration that can be achieved. "Women age worse than men", says Dr. Victoria Vitale-Lewis, a board certified plastic surgeon located in Melbourne, FL. "This is because the signs of aging tend to “masculinize” a woman’s face, and when women lose their feminine facial characteristics they not only look older, they become less attractive. Men get older- looking but women get older looking plus lose feminine traits such as the arch of the eyebrow, the contour of the cheeks, etc.. In order to address this problem, Dr. Vitale-Lewis has studied the gender differences between female and male faces. She then designed the Feminine Facelift to maximize these feminine attributes. The surgical changes that are made to restore a youthful appearance also enhance a woman’s femininity and therefore her attractiveness. The goal of the Feminine Facelift is to predictably achieve attractiveness, especially from the frontal view. Dr. Vitale-Lewis says it is much more difficult to achieve a younger look from the frontal view than from a side view, which shows changes in profile such as the neck and cheek areas. With the Feminine Facelift, every effort is made to duplicate the patient's younger appearance in photographs. If the doctor cannot, however, exactly duplicate their younger appearance, then any changes that must be made to accomplish the goal of restoring youth must enhance a woman’s attractiveness. The forehead and cheek portion is done endoscopically through small incisions in the scalp. This portion of the lift will lift everything from the corner of the mouth upward and will sometimes suffice in younger people. The lower portion is done through incisions around the ear, keeping these as short as possible depending on the amount of lift the neck requires. In this way the neck and face are progressively elevated vertically, similar to the effect you have if you stand in front of the mirror and put your fingers in these areas and lift your face upward. The sutures are used to elevate the tissues progressively upward and are attached under the frontal scalp. Dr. Vitale Lewis can demonstrate the Feminine FaceLift with an actual procedure and patient, and has patients available for interview. She can also appear live with a patient, along with the patient's before photos. ### |
