San Francisco/Oakland, CA (PRWEB) July 6, 2006 -- Glass House Communications and Through The Vine present the 3rd Annual Fashion On The Square (FOTS), the most highly anticipated and largest ‘outdoor’ runway fashion show on the West Coast. This year Fashion On The Square returns with several events between July 22nd and July 29th, 2006 in response to a demand for an expansion of the FOTS experience. FOTS is not just another fashion show but rather it’s a fashion explosion and celebration of the phenomenal emerging talent that is taking the fashion and beauty industries by storm. The hottest designers, models, make-up artists and stylists travel from state-to-state to be a part of this event and experience what transforms Union Square Park into the place to be for fashion, beauty, networking and lots of fun! Union Square, one of the hottest retail real estate properties in the Country, is surrounded by flagship stores like Macy’s West, Levi’s, Niketown, H&M, Guess, Chanel, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Gucci and more. From celebrities and top models, to a 60-foot runway, this event has become the most sought after fashion show on the West Coast, as participating designers have been discovered and make their way to the red carpets of Los Angeles and emerging models have become ‘the new faces’ of designer clothing and signed to modeling agencies.

The FOTS 2006 series of events include: July 22nd – Community Excellence Awards Dinner and Athlete Runway Fashion Show at the Peacock Gap Golf & Country Club in San Rafael, CA. The honorees are Willie Harper (49er Alumni), Sharon Creer (Black Sports Agents Assoc. & Real Estate Agent), and Glen Graham (Founder Jumpers R’ Us). July 27th - the White Carpet will be rolled out for the Annual VIP All-White Reception and Party, at Linen Life Park Avenue, Emeryville, CA. The finale of these events is the Union Square Park Runway Fashion Show, July 29th followed by an after-party hosted by Tanqueray.

The FOTS 2006 Celebrity Hosts for this event include Actors Stacie J and Janelle (MTV’s The Real World), and TV Talent and Host Anthony Cooper (aka Mr. Cooper) from Oakland, CA. The entertainment platform will be graced by the dynamic female group Sorella and the industry’s hottest emerging male R&B group ENTITY, who just released their album debut entitled “Locked Doors”. FOTS also has the hottest internationally known female DJ spinning, "DJ Backside."

The FOTS 2006 runway will be graced by: The Randy Moss Collection, The Children’s Place, Just Glam, Jennifer Blue, Speedo, Svoboda, Azzure, Indigo Red, Ann Georgio, Evarize, LaToya Skinner, Revelation, Red Pearl, Fox Racing, Ann Georgio, Pink Lemonaid, Via Moda and accessory designer Mary Frances.

In the celebration of beauty, featured this year is the FOTS Beauty Suites. This covered tent, in the middle of Union Square, will feature brow waxing, massages, hair blowouts, makeovers by Just Glam and other surprises. Guests will enjoy relaxation and quality pampered treatment as they luxuriate in an all-white atmosphere with the smell of aromatherapy.

Hand-N-Hand New Media Fellowship, a California Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization, is a New Media Internship/Mentorship Education Collaboration focused on the development and design of after school programming for underprivileged Youth ages 12-18. At HnHNMF, training is provided in the areas of Multimedia, Music/Video Production, Graphic Arts/Design, Web Design, Audio/Video Editing (digital streaming), Digital Photography, Entertainment Event Production and Planning, Creative Writing, Marketing and Promotions, and Public Relations and Publicity, with a vision towards Entrepreneurship. This is a very unique and important program given the issues of the digital and economic divide in underprivileged communities. Friends of Faith, Inc., founded in 1997, is a nonprofit charitable organization of professional women dedicated to fighting the breast cancer epidemic through the power of information and by providing funds to local organizations to help provide direct assistance to underserved and under-insured women in their battle against breast cancer. Some of the organizations that have received funding from Friends of Faith, Inc., are: Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, Alameda County Medical Center Cancer Navigator Program, American Cancer Society, Women's Cancer Resource Center Emergency Fund. The Women's Cancer Resource Center is now the home of the East Bay Breast Cancer Emergency Fund, sponsored by the Friends of Faith.
