Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) August 6, 2006 -- The 22nd annual Beauties of America National Pageant will be held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from August 17 through 20. Delegates from across the United States will compete for the 2006 national titles.

The Beauties of America Pageant is unique because women compete only with other women in their age decade category - Teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s & Up. Judging is based on Interview (40%), Fitness (25%), Evening Gown (25%) and Photogenic (10%). Celebrating beauty and achievement at every age, the Beauties of America Pageant offers an exciting and professional pageant experience unlike any other.

The final pageant and crowning take place at 7pm on August 19 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. In the days leading up to the final pageant, delegates attend orientation and an opening night dinner party at the Hard Rock Cafe', as well as rehearsals and beauty seminars, and participate in the interview and photogenic areas of competition.

Each national queen will receive $1,000 cash, national crown and sash, travel luggage and a vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, complete make-up and skin care kit, photo session, jewelry, and many other prizes. Each national queen will also appear in international advertising campaigns for the Beauties of America Pageant throughout her reign. Special awards are also presented for Fitness, Achievement, Overall Photogenic, and Program Appreciation.
