Laser eye surgery cannot be performed in the following cases:
- It is not advised to treat people who are less than 18 years old. The eye is not stable enough;
the refraction may change during the years.
- Herpes on the cornea. Herpes may cause scar development.
- Pregnancy. Hormonal changes may also lead to changes in vision.
- Dry eye syndrome.
- Diabetes (if not correctly treated and medicated).
- Some internal diseases may also inhibit laser eye surgery.
- Scars or capillary on the area that needs to be involved during the procedure.
- Patients with a peacemaker cannot be treated due to the electro-magnetic field generated by
the machinery.
- If you have hay fever or any other allergy, it is advised to undergo surgery in the
allergy-free period of the year.
